Do I need another app?
Pepper lives in WhatsApp. Your private dashboard opens in a browser from a link Pepper sends when you message HOME.
What can I send Pepper?
You can send text, forwarded notices, JPEG or PNG photos, PDFs, WhatsApp voice notes up to 3 MB and direct links to public school webpages. Pepper can’t read WhatsApp groups or sign in to school portals.
Do I have to connect school email?
No. You can send notices yourself and use Pepper without a connected mailbox. Gmail and personal Outlook / Hotmail connections are optional for Pepper families. Work or school Microsoft 365 accounts are not supported yet. How school email works.
What does Pepper read when I connect school email?
Google or Microsoft grants mailbox-wide read access to the account you choose. Pepper uses school matching rules to select emails for processing. Matching content and supported attachments go to OpenAI for extraction. Pepper cannot send, edit or delete emails. See the privacy policy for details.
How do morning briefings work?
Send BRIEFING in WhatsApp. Choose whether you want a briefing, then Every day or Events only and a UK morning time. Briefings use your saved events, tasks and kit instructions. Send STOP BRIEFINGS to switch them off.
Can I correct or remove something?
Yes. Tell Pepper which saved item needs correcting and what should change. Send HOME to view your plans, mark tasks done or remove saved events and tasks.
Does Pepper add things to my calendar?
Pepper keeps its own saved event list and dashboard. External calendar sync and general recurring event series aren’t supported. Weekly school kit has its own saved routine.
Will Pepper send a reminder for an individual task?
Pepper can include saved tasks in an enabled morning briefing. Individual timed alerts aren’t supported.
Can two parents share the same family account?
Each WhatsApp sender has their own Pepper information. Shared household accounts and automatic sharing between parents aren’t supported yet.
How do I clear my information?
Send /forget as a separate WhatsApp message to clear Pepper’s saved family information and conversation history. It doesn’t remove messages already in your WhatsApp app. The data deletion page explains your options.
What if Pepper gets a detail wrong?
Pepper uses AI and can make mistakes or miss information. Check important dates and instructions against the original notice. You can share a correction in chat or remove the saved item in Pepper Home.
